SHOP POLICIES

Clear policies.
Defined before work begins.

These policies summarize FSC's general operating practices. Project-specific written estimates, work authorizations, invoices, and signed service terms govern individual projects.

Estimates & authorization

Website planning ranges are preliminary only. FSC reviews the motorcycle, requested work, component condition, compatibility, access requirements, and anticipated labor before issuing a formal estimate. Work outside the approved scope requires customer authorization before proceeding.

Deposits, cancellations & special-order parts

Larger projects and special-order components may require a deposit before scheduling or ordering. Cancellation treatment depends on parts already ordered, supplier return restrictions, shipping charges, and labor already performed. Non-returnable or custom-order components may remain chargeable after cancellation.

Customer-supplied parts

FSC may install customer-supplied components after reviewing their condition and apparent compatibility. FSC cannot guarantee a third-party manufacturer's advertised fitment, finish, tolerances, durability, completeness, or warranty. Poor fitment, missing hardware, damaged parts, or required modification can change labor and timeline.

Workmanship & component warranties

FSC stands behind the installation work it performs according to the project agreement. Manufacturer warranties, normal wear, abuse, crash damage, unrelated failures, customer-supplied component defects, or subsequent work performed elsewhere are separate issues and may not be covered by FSC workmanship obligations.

Scope & safety

FSC may decline work that exceeds current tooling, experience, facility capability, safety standards, or legal limits. FSC may also stop a job if newly discovered conditions make the requested work unsafe or materially different from the approved scope.

Motorcycle condition & existing damage

Existing damage, missing hardware, prior modifications, fluid leaks, electrical faults, or other conditions may be documented at intake. FSC is not responsible for pre-existing defects. If a condition materially affects the requested work, the customer will be contacted before additional work proceeds.

Project timelines

Any projected completion date or service window is an estimate based on the information and parts availability known at the time of scheduling. Timelines may change due to component availability, shipping, fitment issues, additional authorized work, existing motorcycle condition, outside services, shop workload, or other circumstances affecting the project. FSC will communicate material scheduling changes when reasonably possible.

Storage & pickup

Pickup expectations and any applicable storage terms are outlined in the project paperwork. Customers should arrange pickup after completion notice within the applicable pickup window or communicate with FSC if another arrangement is needed.

Photos, documentation & media

FSC may photograph motorcycles for condition records and project documentation. Public marketing use of identifiable customer information or customer/bike media follows the permission terms agreed for the project. Customers can discuss media preferences during intake.

Privacy

Contact details and project information are used to communicate about estimates, scheduling, parts, service, and records associated with the customer's project. FSC does not need to publish customer contact information to document a build.
