FAQ

Common questions.
Straight answers.

Quick answers about projects, parts, scheduling, pricing, and the client portal.

What types of motorcycles do you work on?+

FSC primarily focuses on sportbikes and performance-oriented street motorcycles for customization, selected maintenance, and supported bolt-on service. Final acceptance depends on the motorcycle, requested work, condition, and parts involved.

Do you install customer-supplied parts?+

Yes. FSC can install customer-supplied parts, but fitment, finish, manufacturing quality, and long-term durability of third-party components cannot be guaranteed.

Do you source parts for customers?+

Yes. Projects can use customer-supplied parts, FSC-sourced parts, or a combination of both.

Do you provide pricing before work begins?+

Yes. Website pricing is planning guidance. A project-specific estimate is confirmed after the motorcycle, parts, access requirements, and scope are reviewed.

Are the prices on the website final?+

No. Final labor can change with access difficulty, required bodywork removal, seized or damaged hardware, fitment corrections, and supporting work.

Do you work by appointment only?+

Yes. FSC uses scheduled project appointments rather than walk-in service.

Can I drop off my motorcycle at any time?+

No. Drop-off and pickup are coordinated in advance after the project has been accepted.

Do you take on multi-part or multi-system builds?+

Yes, when the requested work is within FSC scope. Larger builds are reviewed as a coordinated project instead of being forced into a simple flat-rate estimate.

Do you do performance work?+

Yes, for supported bolt-on performance components and related installation work. Internal engine work and in-house dyno tuning are outside FSC scope.

Do you tune ECUs or dyno motorcycles?+

FSC does not currently provide in-house dyno tuning. Supporting components and preparation can be handled when they fall within scope.

Can modifications affect a factory warranty?+

They can. Warranty decisions are made by the manufacturer or dealer, so customers should verify coverage when warranty retention matters.

How long will my project take?+

Time depends on scope, scheduling, parts availability, motorcycle condition, fitment, and any additional work discovered during the project.

Can you guarantee aftermarket part fitment?+

No. FSC verifies and corrects fitment where reasonable, but aftermarket parts can vary in design and manufacturing consistency.

Do you work on motorcycles that already have modifications?+

Yes. Existing modifications should be disclosed because they can affect compatibility, access, wiring, clearances, and labor.

Will you install inexpensive or unbranded parts?+

Possibly, but FSC may decline any component that appears unsafe, poorly manufactured, incompatible, or likely to create an unreliable installation.

What happens if a part does not fit?+

FSC will stop and review the issue before performing unexpected modification or additional labor. Any change in scope is discussed first.

Do you perform maintenance too?+

Selected maintenance and external mechanical work are supported. The Scope of Work page shows exactly what is currently accepted.

How do I start a project?+

Submit a Project Inquiry with the motorcycle, requested work, current modifications, parts status, budget, and any relevant photos.

Can I save a build concept before requesting work?+

The standalone Bike Builder is not currently part of the site. Use a Project Inquiry to outline the concept, parts, intended use, and any supporting photos.

How do I track a current FSC job?+

Create or sign in to the Client Portal. Jobs assigned to your account show current stage, progress, estimated completion when available, and FSC updates.
